‘Irish Wish’: Lindsay Lohan Returns In Lucky New Rom-Com For Netflix - Trailer
From Ryan Cordaro
I have to admit, rom-coms aren’t my specialty when it comes to movies. I’ve seen the very popular ones, but I haven’t even seen the big ones like The Notebook. At some point, I’m gonna change that, but it’s admittedly embarrassing to say that I’m a self-proclaimed “film-nerd” that hasn’t seen When Harry Met Sally. The same could be said about Lindsay Lohan movies. I’ve really only seen The Parent Trap, but I haven’t seen Freaky Friday or even the original Mean Girls. I’ve heard good things about those movies, along with I Know Who Killed Me, and I honestly just need to expand my palette to more light-hearted stuff. Who knows, maybe Irish Wish could be the gateway movie into it.
When the love of her life gets engaged to her best friend, Maddie puts her feelings aside to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland. Days before the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely. Irish Wish is the first of two Lohan-led movies releasing on Netflix this year, starting a potential collaboration with the service. The second film, Our Little Secret, is expected to release in the final quarter of this year to coincide with the holidays.
Along with Lohan, Irish Wish stars Ed Speleers (Star Trek: Picard, Downton Abbey), Alexander Vlahos (Versailles, Outlander), Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan (Top Boy, Emily in Paris), Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Live and Let Die), Jacinta Mulcahy (Much Ado About Christmas, Poirot), Matty McCabe (The Prince, The Lightworker), and Dakota Lohan.
Irish Wish hits Netflix on March 15th, 2024
