The Russos And RDJ Are Getting Big Bucks For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ - News Reelz

Marvel is ponying up the big bucks to bring the Russo Brothers & Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU. Nobody should be surprised here, but the figures are still pretty staggering.
According to Variety, the Russo Brothers are getting $80M to direct Avengers: Doomsday & Avengers: Secret Wars while Downey Jr. is getting "significantly more" to star as villain Doctor Doom in both films. The Russos’ deal doesn’t include back-end payments, but it does contain performance escalators that kick in at the $750 million and $1 billion mark should the films earn those amounts globally.
In addition to the big payday, Downey Jr.'s perks include private jet travel, dedicated security, and a whole “trailer encampment." Not bad for the man that helped get the MCU to its lofty status beginning with 2008's Iron Man. It was also stated that he was only willing to return if the Russo Brothers returned to direct these films.
