Of all the MCU series that have been released in the last few years, Loki undoubtedly created an intriguing story week to week. It boasts great performances and characters that have wonderful chemistry together. Particularly Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston I enjoy that buddy-cop dynamic that they have together. When Owen Wilson was cast that was one of the things fans looked at right away. Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie was great too. She had fantastic chemistry with Hiddleston as well. 

With Loki season two being mere days away there is a lot to look forward to and some things to be weary of as well. One of the things to be wary of is Jonathon Majors involvement as his court case came to light well after he finished filming this season. That’s also a massive question mark with the MCU going forward. 

After the season one finale the plot of season two wasn’t clear and was left up to interpretation. “He Who Remains”/Kang left Loki and Sylvie with an ultimatum. Kill him and watch his variants destroy the sacred timeline or let the Time Variance Authority continue controlling the timeline. Sylvie then kills Kang, splintering the MCU’s timelines into a multiverse. Mobius said that once Kang was killed, 63 different branches were created. 

The sacred timeline being destroyed is going to have massive ramifications for the MCU. Once Sylvie killed Kang, she pushed Loki through a time door where he ended up at the TVA. The only difference is that no one recognizes him there and he’s on his own. That’s a thread that will be fun to watch unravel this season. 

A few trailers and spots have been released but one of the biggest insights we got into this season came from D23. Some footage was screened and it picked up right after season one ended where Loki is faced with the fact that the TVA has no idea who he is and is on the run. He finds Casey, the nervous office clerk from season one with the drawer full of infinity stones but he remembers him. Before Loki glitches out again he tells Casey to find Mobius. 

With the plot being so tightly lipped there should be plenty of surprises in store. Loki is such a rich character that has been through so much in the MCU. From being the main villain in an Avengers movie to having a heroic death in one. Losing multiple family members, by his doing or others. Hiddleston brought charm and charisma to the role making it impossible to ever hate Loki. His turn in this series provided more of the same and I can’t wait to see the twists and turns he takes.
