‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)’: Taylor Swift Brings The Whole Shebang To Disney+ - Trailer

I’m well aware that I don’t currently have the money to see a massive stadium concert like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, but I’m admittedly kicking myself for missing the filmed version that hit theaters last year. Out of the footage I saw in the theater, it looked like a lot of fun. The same goes for Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE concert film, which hit a few months later and still has to find any sort of home release. But hey, apparently it wasn’t the whole concert. Even the version that you can rent right now (at a cheeky $19.89 price point) isn’t the whole concert, albeit an extended version. Now, we have that version.

Disney+ will give its subscribers The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), the full three-hour concert, which they’re marketing says will include “Cardigan” and “Maroon”, among four acoustic songs that weren’t in the theatrical run or its digital rental release. This isn’t the first time Swift’s released a documentary on Disney+, with folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions releasing back in 2020 about the making of one of Swift’s 2020 releases, which was directed by her. Actually, Disney+ has a good lineup of music documentaries from Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, and Billie Eilish. We also have to mention Get Back, the massive 8-hour Beatles documentary spearheaded by Peter Jackson, which I think is one of the best things that Disney+ has to offer.

The full concert hits Disney+ next Thursday, March 14th, 2024 at 9 P.M. EST. For the physical media collectors out there, there are rumors that Universal will give The Eras Tour a 4K/Blu-Ray release at some point soon, so keep an eye out for that.
