In case you missed it, Jenna Ortega is in deep talks to join J.J. Abrams' untitled movie at Warner Bros. alongside Glen Powell.
Details are slim on this one, but Powell is in the middle of finalizing his deal and Abrams wrote the script with Bad Robot is producing.
Ortega's star has been red-hot, with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice on deck next month. She's also working hard on Wednesday Season 2 and has other projects in various stages of development. Ortega is in the Sony/3000 Pictures’ Klara and the Sun from Taika Waititi, about a robot girl who is designed to prevent loneliness and tries to save a heartbroken family of humans. She also has the A24 movie Death of a Unicorn from filmmaker Alex Scharfman and starring Paul Rudd and Will Poulter. The film follows a father-daughter duo who hit a unicorn with their car and bring it to the wilderness retreat of a mega-wealthy pharmaceutical CEO.
