D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is taking place in Anaheim, California from August 9th through August 11th, 2024. It’s the premiere annual event for Disney to show off new innovations, behind-the-scenes one-of-a-kind experiences, upcoming experiences, exciting upcoming film and television projects, and more.

1:03am - The cast of Mufasa: The Lion King is on stage!

In theaters December 20th, 2024.

12:56am - A new song from Mufasa: The Lion King is now being played titled ‘I Always Wanted a Brother’. Scar’s real name is Taka.

12:53am - ‘The Circle of Life’ was just performed live. Barry Jenkins is now on stage and shared that the music has written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (who is now on stage).

12:52am - Time for Mufasa: The Lion King! I think this is the last one…

12:50am - Nine Inch Nails is composing the music for Tron: Ares!

12:49am - A trailer for Tron: Ares has been shown, hitting theaters October 10, 2025.

12:48am - Characters will go into the real world in Tron: Ares.

12:44am - Tron: Ares time! Jared Leto, Greta Lee, and Evan Peters are on stage with Jeff Bridges!

In theaters March 21st, 2025.

12:39am - The full song “Whistle While You Work” was shown from Snow White and a teaser is being shown.

12:36am - Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot have taken the stage to promote the live-action Snow White. Sneak peek incoming.

12:35am - Lilo & Stitch live-action hits theaters in Summer 2025!

12:32am - LIVE-ACTION STITCH!!!

12:31am - Pink Slip, Marc Harmon, and Chad Michael Murray are all returning for Freakier Friday.

12:28am - The film hits theaters in 2025, now titled Freakier Friday.

12:25am - Time for Freaky Friday 2! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are on stage!

12:19am - David Blaine: Do Not Attempt is coming to Disney+. Mysterious packages that were handed to all attendees are now allowed to be opened. Everyone has a deck of cards for a trick from Blaine, who is now on stage.

12:17am - National Geographic time! Still waiting on live-action and 20th Century Studios, maybe Searchlight…

12:10am - Rita Ora is on stage to talk Descendants: The Rise of Red. A ‘Descendants and Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour’ is happening next summer.

12:05am - But we’re not done! Percy Jackson time! The cast takes the stage to talk season 2, will follow ‘The Sea of Monsters’

12:05am - And Marvel is done.

12:03am - Kathryn Hahn is on stage performing a new song from Agatha All Along lol

12:00am - Agatha All Along time. New trailer drop!

11:59pm - A teaser is being shown for Daredevil: Born Again that is reportedly clearly not PG. Will it hit YouTube tonight? White Tiger is confirmed for the show.

11:57pm - Season 2 starts production soon according to Kevin Feige!

11:56pm - Jon Bernathal is officially back as The Punisher.

11:56pm - Daredevil: Born Again releases in March on Disney+!

11:55pm - Time for Daredevil: Born Again! Charlie Cox and the entire cast (OGs) are there.

11:53pm - Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, and Alden Ehrenreich are on stage. A trailer was shown, to seemingly positive reactions!

11:50pm - Now talking about the Ironheart series, produced by Ryan Coogler.

11:47pm - A video message from the cast is being shown from set as the film is now in production. Joseph Quinn is in the suit!!!

11:46 - Now time for The Fantastic 4: First Steps!

11:41 - Anthony Mackie has taken the stage for Captain America: Brave New World and footage is being shown, reportedly the same from San Diego Comic Con.

11:39pm - Ryan Reynolds has sent a thank you message, now being played.

11:37pm - MARVEL TIME!

11:35pm - The Mandalorian & Grogu began filming two weeks ago and will release in 2026. A brief tease was shown featuring the return of the Razor Crest and Zeb.

11:34pm - Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have arrived to talk The Mandalorian & Grogu!

11:32pm - A behind-the-scenes look at Andor season 2 is now being shown.

11:31pm - Ben Mendelsohn will officially return as Krennic in season 2 of Andor and Forest Whitaker will return as Saw Gerrera.

11:29pm - Season 2 of Andor will follow Cassian over four years, leading up to the events of Rogue One.

11:27pm - Diego Luna is on stage to talk Andor season 2!

11:26pm - The Skeleton Crew debuts December 3rd on Disney+.

11:24pm - Star Wars time! We start with Jude Law introducing The Skeleton Crew.

11:14pm - Frozen III director Jennifer Lee also teased an original animated project for 2027 that she wouldn’t discuss further.

11:13pm - Frozen, filmed live on stage and featuring Samantha Barks as Elsa will hit Disney+ in 2025.

11:10pm - Frozen III hits theaters in 2027, followed by Frozen IV. Director Jennifer Lee says it will take two films to answer all of the questions.

11:06pm - Zootopia 2 releases in November 2025.

10:59pm - Zoe Saldana has joined the cast of Pixar’s Elio.

10:58pm - Pixar’s Elio finally hits theaters in Summer 2025!

10:56pm - Jon Hamm, Bobby Moynihan, and Piper Curda star in Hoppers, hitting theaters Spring 2026.

10:52pm - Toy Story 5 will be written and directed by Andrew Stanton and will feature the toys versus electronics.

10:41pm - Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are on stage with James Cameron.

10:41pm - New characters, new locations, and someone we’ll love to hate coming to Avatar 3.

10:35pm - The Rock is going to star in a film titled Monster Jam, an “immersive and cool” live-action experience.

9:48pm - People on X (formerly known as Twitter) are pointing out that it has been 20 years since The Incredibles was released. Considering that the second film grossed $1.24 billion and Bob Iger’s focus on sequels to successful IP, could we get a threequel announcement tonight?

9:30pm - Most interesting, in my opinion, is that Pixar reportedly screened a new film for people at D23 and it may be announced tonight.

9:04pm - Just under 1 hour to go until the biggest announcement night of the year for Disney Entertainment! Will we hear about new Marvel projects, maybe Spider-Man 4? Maybe some new Star Wars movie news, perhaps the film to be directed by Deadpool & Wolverine’s Shawn Levy? Maybe The Acolyte Season 2? A first look at Zootopia 2 or the live-action Lilo & Stitch?
