Recently, I’ve finally been watching Netflix’s Daredevil series, and I can’t believe I waited this long to do it. I still need to finish up the final season, but I’ve really been loving it. From my point of view, I never even truly realized how much people were wanting Daredevil to be brought into the MCU. Even when he popped up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, I was excited, but the cheers around me in the theater were just as big as when Tobey Magure and Andrew Garfield showed up. Even when the original concept for the series was apparently rebooting it, people were still relatively excited for it. When it got restarted to actually be a continuation of the series, though, that’s when it kicked into overdrive. It was a whole process that I don’t want to go into, but I’ve been waiting for this for a while now. Maybe not the 7 year wait from when the show ended in 2018, but I’m excited for it.

Like with most Marvel projects, we don’t really know the plot of Born Again, but we do have a logline to go off of. Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk are both leaving their respective pasts behind. Murdock has stopped being the vigilante known as Daredevil, while Fisk makes a run for being elected as mayor of New York City. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course. It’s nice to see pretty much every main role from the original run back on screen, especially since that wasn’t the case for the original plan before its overhaul. I do love that the show is sticking with a TV-MA rating too, like the Netflix series. Honestly, I don’t have much else to say other than being so excited for this. Bring it on.

Charlie Cox (The Theory of Everything, the upcoming Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man), Vincent D’Onofrio (Godfather of Harlem, Men in Black), Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Escape Room), Elden Henson (Idle Hands, Killers of the Flower Moon), Ayelet Zurer (Man of Steel, Angels & Demons), Jon Bernthal (The Bear, the upcoming The Accountant 2), and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie, Inherent Vice) all reprise their roles from the original run of Daredevil on Netflix. New cast members include Margarita Levieva (The Acolyte, The Lincoln Lawyer), Zabryna Guevara (She Said, X-Men: Days of Future Past), Nikki M. James (Severance, BrainDead), Genneya Walton (Candy Cane Lane, Darby and the Dead), Arty Froushan (House of the Dragon, Carnival Row), Clark Johnson (Homicide: Life on the Street, Evil), and Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark, Beau Is Afraid).

Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again starts on March 4th, 2025 on Disney+. It’s not confirmed yet how many episodes will drop on that day, but it’s likely that Daredevil will be a weekly release.
