A ‘Nova’ Project is In Development At Marvel Studios - News Reelz

It’s been rumored numerous times before, but now we have a confirmation (of sorts) that a Nova project is in active development at Marvel Studios. You may remember the character’s introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe first being teased back in 2018 by Kevin Feige and again in 2022 when news of development broke.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Marvel Studios’ Head of Television, Streaming, and Animation (that’s a mouthful) Brad Winderbaum shared that a Nova is indeed in super early development, but in what capacity remains to be seen. Of note is the fact that Marvel Studios is now operating like a more traditional studio where not every project in development will ultimately be made, but they’ll see how the project builds.

The character of Richard Rider aka Nova was once a Nova Corps member prior to their destruction by the Annihilation Wave, which outfitted him with all of the deceased’s powers. He is often considered one of the most powerful forces in the universe.
