CinemaCon is currently taking place Las Vegas and studios are making their presence felt with announcements, trailers, and other surprises. Sony Pictures is one of those making a splash, first by bringing recording artist Bad Bunny to the stage to announce that he will play El Muerto in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe in a standalone film. The character is a superhero wrestler who gets his powers of superhuman strength from a mask passed down through the family. The film is slated to be released on January 12th, 2024.
Sony also announced that Venom 3 is officially on the way. We sort of already knew this news, but official confirmation is welcomed.
Finally, a sequel to last year’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which was directed by Jason Reitman, has been officially greenlit. No word yet on who will return or any other details.
