Deadline reports that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton inked a deal with Marvel Studios and Hulu’s Onyx Collective that will see him developing projects for both. Part of the deal includes the development of a Marvel Disney+ series that he is already working on, as well as a sequel to Shang-Chi. Said Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige, “Destin is an amazing collaborator who brought a unique perspective and skill to Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. We had a fantastic time working together on the film and he has so many intriguing ideas for stories to bring to life on Disney+, so we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with him and can’t wait to get started.” No further details are available regarding the Disney+ series Cretton is working on.
