Before Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife hit theaters this year to overall positive reviews, director Paul Feig helmed a more comedic entry in the series with 2016’s Ghostbusters starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Chris Hemsworth. As it turns out, Sony may have forgotten? An upcoming eight-disc “Ultimate” box set celebrating Ghostbusters apparently omits the 2016 film, something that doesn’t sit right with Feig and likely a good number of the film’s fans. Taking to Twitter to express his disappointment, Feig said:
Seemingly in response, Sony has made the decision to include a digital version of 2016’s Ghostbusters, just not a disc. Odd all around.
