Producer Josh Davis has confirmed that a follow-up to 2012’s Chronicle is in development. The original found footage film came from director Josh Trank and starred Dane DeHaan, Michael B. Jordan, and Alex Russell as high school seniors who gained superpowers. The follow-up will be set a decade after the first film and follow female protagonists and deal with fake news vs. real news, cover-ups, and more. The first film, developed for $12 million, grossed $126.64 million worldwide.
