Well I think we can all put to bed any rumors of Scarlett Johansson returning to the MCU at any point in the future. The Wall Street Journal reports that the Black Widow star has sued Disney for breach of contract, alleging that her agreement with Marvel Entertainment guaranteed that the film, released earlier this month, would exclusively go to theaters. Instead, Black Widow was released on Disney+ Premier Access on the same day. Why all of the hubbub? Well, Johansson’s salary for the film was largely based on box office performance.
