One of the standout films from the 2021 Sundance Film Festival was Fran Kranz’ Mass, a powerful film set in the aftermath of a tragedy and focused on two families talking in an attempt to move forward with their lives. Jason Isaacs, Martha Plimpton, Reed Birney, and Ann Dowd turn in phenomenal performances in the engrossing feature (read reviews from Guy At The Movies and Math Teacher Movies here). Deadline now brings word that Bleecker Street (Together Together) has acquired the rights for U.S. distribution with a likely release later this year. Great news when excellent films are released to larger audiences!
