‘The Running Man’ Remake Circling Edgar Wright To Direct

Stephen King’s 1982 sci-fi novel The Running Man, first adapted into a film in 1987 that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, is getting the remake treatment. Deadline reports that Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Baby Driver) is in negotiations to direct for Paramount. The story takes place in a dystopian future where a desperate man enters a contest where he will be hunted to earn money for his ailing daughter.
