Within the $2.3 trillion coronavirus relief package and spending bill passed on Monday evening are details of much-needed help for movie theaters. Of the funds included, $15 billion is dedicated to movie theaters and live performance venues. According to National Association of Theatre Owners President President John Fithian, the funds will greatly benefit most small and mid-size movie theaters, including their employees, who otherwise may have closed. The organization continues to lobby for funds to support larger chains.
