Deadline reports that Universal is developing The Electric State, a sci-fi film based on the book by Simon Stålenhag, with the Russo Brothers directing and Millie Bobby Brown attached to star. The film, taking place in the future, follows a young girl who is sent a robot by her missing brother, leading to a search for said brother and the discovery of a larger conspiracy. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Avengers: Endgame) are writing the script.
