There has been a lot of chatter over the past few days regarding the fate of Wonder Woman 1984, the upcoming sequel to 2018’s Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot and directed by Patti Jenkins. After shifting release dates and landing on a Christmas Day debut, the worsening pandemic and theater closures around the world are reportedly weighing heavy on Warner Bros. who, according to Deadline, may make an announcement as early as Monday. Potential options include keeping the current theatrical release date as is, releasing both in theaters and on HBO Max (either simultaneously or with a few week delay), or pushing back to June of 2021. Time will tell.
