Deadline reports that Clint Eastwood is getting ready to direct and star in Cry Macho, based on the book of the same name. The story follows a former rodeo star and horse breeder who agrees to retrieve his former boss’s son from his alcoholic mother, a journey that takes the pair across Mexico. The film has not even been given a greenlight yet, but Eastwood is said to be scouting locations.
