James Cameron and cast have been hard at work in New Zealand where they are filming Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. Currently scheduled for release in December of 2022, Cameron has revealed that they have completed filming on the sequel and are about 95% there with the third. The films have been a long time in the making with the original released in 2009. Avatar 3, 4, and 5, respectively, are currently slated for release in 2024, 2026, and 2028.
