Review: All In: The Fight For Democracy

ALL IN: THE FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY (2020)

If ever there was a time for a film like this, it is now. All In: The Fight For Democracy is a crash course in the history of voting rights, and the ongoing threat to said rights, in the democratic republic that is the United States of America. Using the controversial 2018 Georgia gubernatorial race between Stacey Abrams and Brian Kemp as a foundation, the film expertly explains the lengths to which those in power will go to keep said power.

There is clearly a liberal bias present throughout the documentary, expected due to the reality of which side of the isle voter suppression and gerrymandering has been most present. Using historical facts, figures, and statistics to make its case, All In paints a clear picture of our current political reality, ever the more impactful with under two months to go until a presidential election. It is hard not to get upset by the information being presented, though this should be required viewing for all voters in order to head to the polls more informed.

In short, we all believe that our right to vote cannot be taken away. Through this film, you will learn that this is not the case. Throughout the country, thanks to creative legal maneuvers and trickery, voices are being silenced, not always in large batches. Regardless of political persuasion, this is a must watch.

All In: The Fight For Democracy hits limited theaters tomorrow and will be available on Amazon Prime Video on September 18th.
