THR reports that Blumhouse and Ryan Murphy are producing a film adaptation of Stephen King’s short story Mr. Harrigan’s Phone for Netflix. The story follows a young man who does odd jobs for Mr. Harrigan, introducing him to the iPhone along the way. When Harrigan dies, the young man buries him with a phone, leading to an unexpected text conversation from beyond the grave. John Lee Hancock (Saving Mr. Banks) will write and direct.
