/Film has a great recap of WarnerMedia chairman and HBO Max head Bob Greenblatt’s recent comments while on the Recode Media podcast regarding Zack Snyder’s Justice League, recently revealed to be heading to the new streaming service in 2021. In addition to revealing that discussions had been going on for quite a while to iron out all of the complex details, Greenblatt stated that this Snyder’s version will be “a radical rethinking” of 2017’s Justice League that is “wildly expensive,” also indicating that the true cost is above the reported $30 million to finish the film.
His comments also raise questions as to where this film will actually land in terms of continuity with the DC Extended Universe. “Is the Snyder Cut a new movie, or is it a recut?” he posed, never quite landing on an answer during this interview.
